The Open Eye Theater

The Foundation for the Open Eye is pleased to announce the three day presentation of these walls, thy sphere,—a visual interpretation and reading of John Donne’s 1633 poem, The Sun Rising.
Additionally, Donne’s poem is found carved in wood, attached to the southern exterior wall of Derek Jarman’s Prospect Cottage at Dungeness, Kent, UK.
The Foundation for The Open Eye was established in 1972 in New York City by dancer and choreographer Jean Erdman, and mythologist Joseph Campbell.
